Bits & Pieces Scarf - Half Day
Create your own one-of-a-kind scarf!

Attendees will need a sewing machine.
Coiled Fabric Bowl - Half Day
This hands-on class will teach participants how to make coiled fabric bowls. In a few hours, attendees will make a wonderful bowl from wide strips of fabric and cording. Our bowls will use two coordinating fabrics that will be secured around cording and then hand-stitched.
Crazy Quilting - Full Day
Crazy quilting is a patchwork technique where random shaped fabric pieces are stitched to a foundation fabric. Everyone will piece and sew together one block. Then we will add embroidery and embellishments to the block. There is an endless variety of ways to embroider. Ribbon, lace, buttons, beads and charms can be added for dimension and beauty to the crazy quilt block.
Sashiko - Half or Full Day
In this class we explore the foundations of the sashiko technique including needles and thread, create patterns of common motifs, transfer patterns to fabric creating a few different sashiko samplers, and then we will stitch one of those samplers.
Modern Chenille - Two Half Days
Have a blast as you learn modern chenille! This creative technic is playful. Enjoy the beauty and possibilities of modern chenille.
In this class, participants will be introduced to raw edge cutwork, a vibrant form of surface design. Each individual will come out of the class with a unique piece of textured fabric that will be made into a casual purse.
Attendees will need a sewing machine.
Tactile Textile - Two Days
Taking a piece of pretty patterned fabric or a tapestry, learn to embroider over the design, highlighting selected details. Stitches could include French knots and various feather, blanket, satin, and filling stitches.
Embroidered lines created with needle and thread will completely transform the fabric, adding texture and dimension. Finished embroidered fabric can be used for pillows, hand towels, other home décor and purses.
Delightful Felted Ornaments
- Half or Full Day
Create delightful embroidered felt ornaments just in time for Christmas. Felt ornaments make great gifts and add a personal touch to any tree.

Mindfulness & the Art of Embroidery - Full or Half Day
In this workshop we will combine embroidery with relaxation and Mindfulness, including a short time of silence. I will discuss mandalas, we will practice a Mindfulness exercise, and then the focus is on the act of making. The group will embroider a hand-stamped mandala on fabric in a circular motion to create a lovely embroidered piece. We will finish our mandala embroidered fabric into a sachet filled with lavender – a natural stress reliever.
Textile Collage - Full Day
In this workshop, we will begin by looking at a variety of collages to become inspired on ways to layer and enhance collage work. Then we will begin to create two collages – the first will be a predetermined collage in a kit form that I will provide. The second collage will be your own design.
