Satisfaction

There is something very satisfying about sewing a box cushion.

It has all these parts and sections - zipper, cording, top and bottom panels, four side panels, oh, and STRIPES. And when it all comes together so sweet and neat and tidy, well...satisfaction.

It's a thing of beauty.

I like to cut the fabric straight vs. on the bias. It saves on fabric and it's just not necessary with a solid fabric.

Below is another box cushion I worked on yesterday.

It's now midnight and that's enough sewing for one day. Tomorrow I am making a second cushion for a window seat and I'll be making cording from the same fabric.
